英語教育センターでは、セルフスタディ・ルーム横のホワイトボードに英語教育センター教職員が週替わりで担当する「今週の言葉」を掲示しています。言語は英語のみならず、日本語の言葉もあり、英語教育センター教職員が感動したり、元気をもらったりした言葉を学生の皆さんへのメッセージも込めて掲示しています。昨年度より、学生の皆さんからも「今週の言葉」を募集し、掲示しており、今年度も募集を受け付けていますので、在学生の方は是非応募してみてください。
そして、新型コロナウイルス感染症の猛威により心身ともに不安な生活が続く中で、少しでも心が温かくなり、前向きになることができますよう、ブログでも「今週の言葉～selection～」を掲載したいと思います。英語教育センター教職員の思いが少しでも皆様に届きますように。
もうすぐクリスマスということもあり、今回は「今週の言葉～番外編～」としてChristopher Creighton先生が"Christmas cake”や”cake"という単語が入った慣用表現や単語について紹介をしてくださいました。
