Curriculum Policy

Based on the University’s Diploma Policy, the University has established a curriculum based on the concept of liberal arts, mainly in common classes throughout the University. The liberal arts, as defined by the University, are not limited to general knowledge and skills (general education) that everyone should acquire as a preparatory stage for specialized knowledge, but also include learning that leads to advanced academic expertise and enables deep insight into the world and human beings through the integration of diverse perspectives. Based on these foundations, each department arranges departmental classes for students to acquire knowledge and abilities in specialized fields. Then, as the culmination of their studies, students write a graduation thesis. The curriculum of the University is designed to enable each student to pursue this kind of learning throughout the entire bachelor’s program.

Admission Policy

The University hopes to enroll students who share its educational philosophy and who wish to acquire a broad range of education, a high level of expertise, flexible thinking skills, and accurate judgment, with the aim of becoming practically active as independent women in an increasingly globalized society. In addition, it is important for students to be able to conduct research based on their own awareness of the issues, to accurately communicate their own opinions, to engage in discussion while respecting different opinions, and to make appropriate judgments. To this end, it is important for students to experience researching matters of interest and concern, and to develop the ability to think, write, and speak logically, in other words, the ability to think logically and communicate effectively, even before entering the school.
