Notre Dame Seishin University is a four-year college founded in 1949 in Okayama by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. Our school is a women’s college and admits only female students. Notre Dame Seishin University also offers graduate programs.

- Department of English Language and Literature
- Acquire the skills to freely use English as a lingua franca and deepen their understanding of the literature, language, and culture of English-speaking countries, aiming to cultivate internationally minded individuals with a broad perspective.
- Department of Japanese Language and Literature
- Centered on “Japanese Literature,” which studies literature from ancient times to the present, and “Japanese Language Studies,” which explores the Japanese language in general, students also study “Language Culture,” such as calligraphy, to enhance their ability to express themselves.
- Department of Contemporary Sociological Studies
- Established “Sociology Study Course”, “History Study Course”, and “Regional Study Course”. The curriculum covers a wide range of areas from the past to the present, enabling students to acquire the ability to examine society.

- Department of Human Living Sciences
- Foster human resources with a multifaceted viewpoint, flexible thinking and practical skills that can respond to changes in society, and who are full of understanding.
- Department of Child Welfare
- Established 6 laboratories to develop children's potential in areas such as psychology and fine arts, and foster educators who can contribute to society by combining a wide range of specialized knowledge with a rich sense of humanity.
- Department of Foods and Human Nutrition
- Foster dietitians and nutrition teachers who are required in the fields of medicine, welfare and education. Students deepen their understanding of food and health, and pursue nutrition as a life science and an applied/clinical science.
